The Malaysia–Japan Academic Association (MJAA) is pleased to support the Commemorative Seminar on the Legacy of Royal Professor Ungku Abdul Aziz, organised by Soka University, Japan, in collaboration with distinguished academic institutions from Malaysia and Japan.
This special two-day seminar commemorates the remarkable life and contributions of Royal Professor Ungku Abdul Aziz, one of Malaysia’s most respected scholars, economists, educators, and nation builders. Under the theme:
“Education, Development and Human Dignity: The Legacy of Ungku Aziz and the Future of Malaysia–Japan Academic Cooperation,”
the seminar will bring together academics, researchers, students, policymakers, and members of the public to reflect on his enduring legacy while exploring new opportunities to strengthen academic cooperation between Malaysia and Japan.
The programme will feature discussions on:
- Malaysia–Japan Academic Cooperation
- Circular Economy and Sustainable Development
- Human Dignity and Social Justice
- Liberal Arts Education and Nation Building
- Special Exhibition on the Legacy of Royal Professor Ungku Abdul Aziz
The seminar will be conducted in a hybrid format, allowing participants to attend either in person at Soka University or online via the virtual meeting platform.
